Estrella TV celebrated music in a big way with the 2019 Radio Awards. The great event was packed with great industry figures with a live broadcast from Dallas, Texas.
The grand opening of the night , was in charge of Gloria Trevi, the highest grossing Mexican in the world, who set the night on fire with a cumbia version of , great hit “Open Dogs.”
The big winners of the night were The MS Band Y Christian Nodal, who took two presents each. The MS Band took Artist of the Year and Band of the Year, and Christian Nodal who triumphed in two categories taking away Male Artist of the Year and Best Song of Mariachi, without doubt, four of the most coveted awards of the night.
Some surprises of the night were the senses tributes that were made to the legendary group Rough, Northern Hurricanes Y Pancho Barraza, as well as one of the most emotional moments of the night, which was in charge of the MS band who offered a beautiful tribute to the Prince of the Song Jose josepresented Pepe Garza Y Jose Joel, son of the legendary Mexican balladist.
Another highlight of the awards ceremony was the participation of the Latin pop princess Belinda, who interpreted , worldwide success “Love at First Sight”, next to the singer and songwriter, the talented and charismatic Horacio Palencia, subject with which they were cheered standing by the audience.
The great evening that celebrated the best of Mexican music culminated with a sense and emotional tribute to the queen of Tex Mex Selena, with the participation of four of the most important female vocalists of the moment, who shook the theater to the rhythm of cumbia. Belinda performed “Dance This Cumbia”, Chiquis “Techno Cumbia”, Edith Márquez “You must not play” and Ana Barbara “Pictures and memories”.
