Disney is not optimistic with the potential of “The New Mutants”

The new house of the Fox movie, whose premiere has been kicked since last year, does not welcome the collection it could obtain.

As part of a Variety article, in which they address Disney's disappointment with 20th Century Fox and its movie grid, they mention one of the projects that is in limbo: the film of The New Mutants.

According to , report, Disney would not be excited about the movie. Something directly related to the level of collection it could have.

Disney is optimistic that passing the properties of Fox superheroes, such as “The Fantastic Four” and “X-Men,” to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, is going to improve the quality of those films, but the bumps should be softened in that transition.

The studio is not impressed with “New Mutants,” an X-Men spin-off with a haunted house vibe and they believe it has limited collection potential.

The New Mutants movie was directed by Josh Boone () and has been delayed multiple times. It was filmed in mid-2017 and originally had to be released in April of last year. The new date is now April 3, 2020, two years later than originally contemplated.
